The Project Overview

This project includes the replacement of HVAC equipment and associated systems in a renovated area of 84,070 square feet. Construction Period 2021-2022. Power Source Electric performed the electrical for the mechanical equipment upgrades. Mechanical upgrades included the replacement of outdated HVAC Mechanical Equipment for the Downtown Elementary School.

Scope Of Work / Result

The scope of the work included replacing the entire chilled water system including the pumps, piping modifications, valves and actuators. Air Handling Units (AHU-1, 2, & 3), Rooftop Units (RTU-1, 2, 3), and Kitchen Exhaust Makeup Air Units were replaced.

All Controls in the school were completely replaced for all units and systems. Air Handling Units (AHU-1, AHU-2, & AHU-3) provide ventilation air to unit ventilators. New Air handling units were installed with GPS ionizers with a self-cleaning mode and UL-2998 certificates. Rooftop Units were replaced with gas-fired, direct expansion units. The entire chilled water system including piping/pumps was replaced with a 230-ton air-cooled scroll chiller.

All equipment was replaced to meet current energy codes. Construction Procurement Method: Design-Build
